Bill’s passion for language stems from great literature and music: William Carlos Williams, Elizabeth Bishop, Cheever, The Beatles, Springsteen, Townsend and Joel. Starting his career as a copywriter and editor for Glaxo, Inc, he was on the launch teams for Zantac®, Imitrex®, Zofran® and TRUE Test® and helped manage the promotional review of the dermatology, HIV and respiratory portfolios. He went on to develop hundreds of accredited print and online continuing pharmacy and medical education programs as senior writer and managing editor for the Clean agency in RTP, NC and delivered notable advertising work for Reichhold Chemicals and NC State University. He was founding partner of Collins Youngclaus Advertising in Chapel Hill, now Pulse Health & Wellness, which innovated patient-consumer brand marketing and advertising for Kellogg’s, Kraft, Brita, Boca, Kashi and General Mills.

A founding partner of CannonCassidy—a global branding agency now combined with Addison Whitney—Bill comes back to us having helped develop over 100 global pharmaceutical, medical device and CPG brands for the likes of Pfizer, Becton Dickinson, Philips, Shionogi, Arbor Pharmaceuticals, Campbell’s, IBM, Incyte and AstraZeneca. According to Bill: Creating a great brand name is no different than writing a great poem, song or novel. It needs a beginning, middle and end to tell a compelling story and it takes relentless iteration to craft. A student at Drexel University and Rowan University, he has degrees in Business and English.
