and identity consulting firm, was recently tasked with developing the brand name and logo for Carnival Cruise Lines’ comprehensive shipboard intranet portal featuring the cruise industry’s first onboard social network – the FunHub – which will be introduced aboard the new Carnival Dream when it debuts this fall.
Carnival chose Addison Whitney for this branding initiative, based on Addison Whitney’s extensive experience, customized approach, and attentive service.

The cruise industry’s newest high-tech innovation, FunHub, will allow guests to create online profiles, meet and interact with other guests, send and receive messages, check menus and daily activities, get port weather reports, and more. It will be accessible 24/7 free of charge via 36 onboard technology stations, as well as guests’ personal laptops or netbooks for rent.
FunHub will be showcased on Carnival’s newest and largest ship – Carnival Dream, set to debut September 21, 2009 on a 12-day Grand Mediterranean Cruise traveling roundtrip from Rome (Civitavecchia).
Not only did Addison Whitney create an exciting name for this exclusive, state-of-the-art amenity, but it also designed a colorful new logo, which is incorporated into the web site, netbook rentals and various other collateral materials.
