DeVilbiss Healthcare Unveils New Logo
Charlotte, NC, February 14, 2008 - DeVilbiss Healthcare recently unveiled a new identity created by Addison Whitney. DeVilbiss Healthcare is a leader in the design, manufacture and marketing of respiratory medical products. Formerly a part of Sunrise Medical, it was separated into an independent company in July of 2007. Addison Whitney was engaged by DeVilbiss to revitalize its brand by creating a new visual corporate identity. DeVilbiss needed its new image to not only refresh the company in the marketplace, but also leverage its 110 year history of innovation.Addison Whitney created the identity for DeVilbiss, including the icon which symbolizes the expanding and contracting of the lungs. The two tones of blue further emphasize that point. The subtle serif typeface represents the heritage and reliability of the company. Overall, the new logo provides DeVilbiss Healthcare with a fresh and clean brand.
Addison Whitney also incorporated these elements into additional collateral items such as company business cards and other stationery materials.
