Charlotte, NC (Feb 24, 2006) - Addison Whitney was contracted to create the Procyon and Cellpep new corporate identity. Due to its recent acquisition agreement with Cellpep, S.A., Procyon Biopharma needed to create a new identity. This transaction brings together the overall complementary benefits of each company. The result of the union will ultimately provide earlier products and quicker-than-traditional developments to the pharmaceutical industry in the fields of oncology and infectious diseases.
The name Ambrilia™ fits well with the joint venture. The "Am-" prefix represents the dawn/beginning of a new company. The "-brilia" suffix is suggestive of the brilliant concept of combining early- and late-stage drug candidates and represents the brilliance behind new opportunities this joining of forces will bring. Additionally, the Spanish word "brillar" translates to "shining," another direct correlation to the stars and the luminous potential within Ambrilia.
Addison Whitney also designed the visual identity for Ambrilia. The center of the logo captures a constellation, reminiscent of the Procyon star, and reflects a new company reaching for the stars. Additionally, it represents the concept of a molecule, reminiscent of Cellpep, which in turn reflects the core of the combined company's technologies. The merlot/burgundy color reflects the passion of the Ambrilia team and their commitment to success. For more information about the merge or to view the new visual identity, visit www.ambrilia.com.
