Celgene - Revlimid

Celgene is a multinational biopharmaceutical company that provides innovative, life changing drugs for its customers. Celgene specializes in the development and commercialization of the products used in the treatment of cancer and other immune inflammatory conditions. Addison Whitney was engaged with developing a name for their new pharmaceutical drug, a treatment primarily indicated for patients with transfusion dependent anemia.

Ultimately the brand name Revlimid was recommended. Along with naming the pharmaceutical drug, Addison Whitney conducted trademark screening and assessed the name candidates through our medical error prevention analysis. A regulatory submission document was also created to support Celgene in the name submission process with the healthcare regulatory agencies. The results of Addison Whitney's proprietary research study on the brand name were included in the submission document.
