The Company
Shoppers Drug Mart Corporation is the licensor of full-service Canadian retail drug stores operating under the name Shoppers Drug Mart® (Pharmaprix® in Québec). The Company was founded in 1962 and has more than 1,170 stores operating in each province and two territories.

The Task
Shoppers Drug Mart needed a name for its new line of cosmetics. The line would include make-up for eyes, lips, face and cheeks, and accessories – available exclusively at Shoppers Drug Mart.

The Addison Whitney Solution

Verbal Branding
The Addison Whitney verbal branding team generated a list of name candidates and performed a linguistics evaluation to make the best recommendation to the client. Ultimately, the name chosen was Quo.
