Carnival - DrainPipe and Twister
The CompanyCarnival Corporation is a global cruise company and one of the largest vacation companies in the world. Carnival prides itself on delivering fun, memorable vacations to our guests by offering a wide array of quality cruises, which present outstanding value for the money.
The Task
As Carnival prepared for the launch of its newest ship, the Carnival Magic, Addison Whitney was approached to develop a name and visual identities for a unique new feature for their WaterWorks, as well as a new logo for their Twister water slide
The Addison Whitney Solution
Verbal and Visual Branding
The Addison Whitney verbal branding team named the slide DrainPipe to capture the adrenaline rush and feeling of excitement the passenger experiences as they rush through the tube. For the DrainPipe and Twister logos the Addison Whitney visual branding team was asked to create two distinct logos that were both thrilling and fresh, while providing a cohesive branded water park experience. The logo colors were selected to stand-out from the predominant Carnival red & blue colors, while still tying the two water features together and with the Carnival WaterWorks.
