The Company
Stouffer’s, owned by Nestlé, began in Cleveland as a small coffee shop in 1922. Today, Stouffer’s offers a range of quality frozen prepared meals to consumers throughout the United States and Canada.
The Task
Stouffer's wanted to satisfy the unfulfilled consumer in search of a better meal experience at home. Stouffer's asked Addison Whitney to develop a name for its new line of frozen food entrees that extended the Stouffer's brand image beyond home-style recipes and into contemporary restaurant-inspired meals.
The Addison Whitney Solution
Verbal Branding
With the challenge of developing a name that made people look forward to their meal at home, the Addison Whitney verbal team developed the name "Corner Bistro" for the new offering. The new sub-brand is utilized in their flatbread melt and stromboli offerings in six different varieties.
