Their first compound, an IL-1 Trap, is indicated for the treatment of Cryopyrin-Associated Periodic Syndromes, including Familial Cold Auto-inflammatory Syndrome and Muckle-Wells Syndrome in adults and children 12 and older. Prior to launch Addison Whitney was selected to establish a new name for the product.
The verbal team at Addison Whitney developed the brand "Arcalyst", while the design team created the visual brand for the product. Market research with target audience members was used to validate both the name and logo candidates. Addison Whitney also crafted the submission white paper with validating market research data to support FDA approval of the name.
