Overview:

The Director of Business Development will be responsible for developing client relationships and driving revenue on an annual basis. This position will be charged with generating and following up on new business leads, pitching and closing business opportunities with clients. In addition, the selected candidate will oversee the product delivery, quality and timeliness of client deliverables to the client. This position will potentially represent Addison Whitney in multiple lines of business, including, but not limited to naming, branding, strategy and design.

Reports to: Addison Whitney Senior Vice President

Description of Duties:
* Build strong relationships with all clients and prospective clients to ensure project wins/revenue opportunities
* Represent Addison Whitney with clients and potential clients
* Establish and maintain client contact relationships for future business expansion
* Responsible for writing/reviewing project proposals and scope of work documents to ensure successful client engagement
* Partner with internal staff to determine appropriate processes and timelines to deliver projects and effectively communicate client needs to ensure outstanding results
* Manage aspects of the product delivery to the client in order to promote successful project relationship

Minimum Requirements:
* 7+ years business development / sales experience
* Excellent strategic selling skills with a proven track record of success
* Excellent project management skills
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills including presentation/proposal writing skills. Is detail-oriented with a high standard for quality/correctness of final proposals and presentations
* Strong interpersonal skills with ability to lead cross-functional teams to drive results
* Solid understanding of healthcare/pharmaceutical decision-making processes with proven ability to drive results

Additional Preferred Requirements:
* Pharmaceutical, biotech and / or consumer, b2b brand naming sales experience (combined experience preferred)
* Solid understanding of pharmaceutical brand naming processes and philosophies
